Extention of the Period of Studies (Terms, Tuition, Conditions)
In case of failure to meet the deadline of the standard period of studies, the student can extend his period of studies until the proper completion of the particular study program, within the charged extension of the period of studies regardless on the number of missing classified outcomes of studies needed during the study check e. g. (Credits, Exams, Seminar papers, Bachelor thesis, Diploma thesis).
Administration to extension of the period of studies
In case of non completion of studies within the set period (standard period of studies) the studies are automatically renewed for another academic year (12 months) at the last price level drawn by the student within the standard period of studies and its content (annual tuition fees), until the completion of studies by the final thesis defense.
- The study is extended automatically (VŠEM) in case of non completion of studies (student does not send a request).
- Extension of studies takes place from the date of completion of the standard study period or from the deadline set to the student for the completion of studies at VŠEM.

Administration of payments
Based on the period of extension of studies and drawn price level, the student pays the tuition fees through eShop VŠEM in correspondence with the due dates determined in the schedule of payments.
- The student has to pay the overall amount, or all payments for an annual payment of the tuition fees for the extension of the period of studies (without depending on the term of regular completion of studies or dropout of studies at VŠEM, or the number of missing classified outputs).
- All tuition fees must be fully paid by the student no later than the due date of completion of studies at VŠEM (bachelor/diploma thesis defense).
Conditional study extension
Students, who have submitted an application to further studies at VŠEM, can use (if certain conditions are met) the free conditional extension of studies for a trimester.

Students with Premium price level, who have completed their studies (classification of all credits, exams, seminar papers, final exams) and have submitted the application form to studies at VŠEM within the study program (MSc., MBA), may apply for a free conditional extension of the period of studies for 1 trimester, in order to complete their studies (bachelor thesis defence / diploma thesis defence).

Within the free trimester, students pay for each classification outputs of the study check (Bachelor thesis defence / Diploma thesis defence - 3000 CZK) within the set deadlines. Conditions for being granted the conditional extension of studies for 1 trimester (for graduation) are: submitting an e-application for admission at VŠEM, meeting the conditions of a conditional acceptance to studies (acceptance notice) and subsequent enrollment in the first year of the master's program (MSc.) or professional master's program (MBA) at VŠEM in the price level Premium.
Extension of the study period for one trimester
Student with the price level Premium/Exclusive for the whole period of studies can use an option to exceed his/her studies for one trimester.

The student sends a request for extension of studies for one trimestr through SIS VŠEM/Study forms up to 60 days before the termination of the standard period of studies or termination of the period of extension of studies (1.7. / 1. 11. / 1.2.).

The student has to submit his plan for completion of studies (amount of missing ECTS in terms of control of studies and the schedule of completion of the outputs), which becomes obligatory and has to be realisable and completed after the approval.

The request for extension of studies for one trimester has to be approved by Administrative Commission VŠEM (ADC VŠEM).

The extension of the study period for one trimester is charged by 30.000 CZK/1.500 EUR.
Refunding of the 90% of tuition fees
The student with the price level Standard, Premium, Exclusive, whose period of studies at VŠEM doubled the standard study period and who has not completed the studies, has the right to receive a refund of 90% of the year tuition fees for the academic year, in which he/she will successfully complete his/her studies by bachelor/diploma thesis defense (BP/DT).

The overall period of bachelor studies (BBA.) at VŠEM in the period of 6 years (3 years standard study period + 3 years of extension of the study period).

The overall period of master studies (MSc.) at VŠEM in the period of 4 years (2 years standard study period + 2 years of extension of the study period), for graduates of bachelor study program at VŠEM.

The overall period of master studies (MSc.) at VŠEM in the period of 5 years (2 years standard study period + 3 years of extension of the study period), for graduates of the previous bachelor/master study program at another university.

The student claims the 90% of the year tuition fees based on the sent request via SIS VŠEM/Study forms up to 30 days from graduation from VŠEM (It is necessary to hand in the bank account number).
