VŠEM Facilities

University of Economics and Management offers to all students services of two libraries (VŠEM Library, Library of the Academy of Sciences CR). All students can also use computers and Internet connection in the computer room.

Libraries and computer facilities

VŠEM Library offers access to a wide range of resources to support teaching, learning and research at VŠEM. Our stock consists of some books, periodicals, standards, theses and dissertations, language books and other materials. The main part of the collection is in the Czech language, however there are some books available in English langauage as well.

Students have a chance to use computers, which are placed in the VŠEM Library, room 102. For access to the computer room/library it is necessary to use a student card. All students have free access to the Internet and e-mail. Each student accepted to studies at VŠEM obtains his/her own university e-mail address. In case, students need to print out some materials, it is possible to do so from one of the computers in the VŠEM Library (printing up to 10 pages).
Borrowing books from the VŠEM Library is possible in the office hours of Information and Advisory Centre VŠEM (Tue-Thu, Sat-Sun, 12:00 - 17:00)
Opening hours: Monday - Sunday, 08:00 – 18:00

Library of the Academy of Sciences CR

Students of VŠEM can get access to the electronic resources of the Library of the Academy of Sciences CR, public research institution, which was established in order to realize scientific research in the field of scientific information and bibliology, providing information infrastructure for research and providing library, information and digital services to the workplaces of the Czech Academy of Sciences, other scientific and research users and to the public.
