Research
Research activities are carried out by VŠEM main workplace as the University of Economics and Management fulfilled the requirements for Research organizations according to the Czech law (Act No. 130/2002 Sb.). VŠEM runs two research centrums (Centre for Economic studies, Centre for Innovation studies).
Centre for Economic studies (CES VŠEM)
Centre for Economic Studies VSEM (CES VSEM) is an independent research institute VSEM focusing on institutional quality, innovation performance, the use of information and communication technology and the quality of human resources. Scientific research outputs are implemented as part of the expert-reviewed journal Economic Papers VSEM and monography Competitiveness of the Czech Republic (CR Competitiveness Almanac).
Centre for Innovation studies (CIS VŠEM)
Centre for Innovation Studies VŠEM was founded in 2009 by associate professor Anna Kadeřábková, who operates at VŠEM as a researcher. CIS VŠEM implements a number of advanced international studies focused primarily on social innovations. The most significant research activities are f.e.: Innovation Academy in cooperation with international partners, international research on economic factors and the effects of social innovation (project SIMPACT under FP7). Since 2011 is CIS VŠEM member of an international consortium led by Fraunhofer ISI in Karlsruhe.
Economic papers
Economic papers are electronically distributed reviewed scientific journal whose aim is to bring articles and analytical study of economic theory, economic policy, business economics, management, marketing, human resources and regional and social development. Economic papers are historically linked to earlier, since 2002 CES VSEM issued, Bulletins. Magazine publishes original papers in czech and also in english language.
Innovation VŠEM
Innovation creates IMPACT = change connected with the economic and social value - for business, for society, for people, for politics. Innovation with the greatest impact takes a place at the intersections between economic and social spheres, between technology and society, between profit and non-profit sector and the government, between developed and developing countries.
Internal Grants VŠEM (IG VŠEM)
Internal grants VŠEM (IG VŠEM) is the scientific research project of the University of Economics and Management, involving lecturers and academics VŠEM. The aim of internal projects is the development of science and research, together with the presentation of outputs and results of the implementation of teaching. Grants and support should create at VŠEM creative and innovative environment conducive to the current and modern system of education.
