The College of Economics and Management (VSEM) is divided into executive, statutory, self-governing, initiation, and consulting bodies (Rector’s office, Academic, Scientific, and Students’ Councils, Rector’s Committee) and educational, research and administrative departments.
The management includes executive, statutory, and self-governing bodies (Rector’s office, Academic Council, Students’ Council), and advisory and initiation bodies (Scientific Council, Rector’s Committee) of the college.
The Rector, prof. Ing. Milan Žák, CSc., is the head of college, as well as of the Academic Council of VSEM. The Students’ Council of VSEM, on the other hand, is a self-governing body. The duties and responsibilities of the individual departments and councils are stipulated by the VSEM Statute.
The Rector’s office is the executive body of VSEM, which conducts the organizational, coordination, consulting and advisory, registration, and supervisory activities in the area of studies, research, finance etc. It is also responsible for hiring new personnel, for foreign relations and internal administration.
The educational departments of VSEM provide the tuition of individual study subjects and are responsible the quality of instruction, concerning the expertise and content.
The administrative departments of VSEM (Study Department, Information and Consulting Centre) are responsible for smooth organization of the individual study programmes and various extracurricular activities.
