Students can spend a part of their studies at a university or a college abroad. There are altogether more than 40 schools available in Europe, the intensity of the mutual cooperation being different from one case to another. In case the conditions given are fulfilled, the subjects completed abroad are fully recognized by VSEM.
The student exchange programmes (student’s mobilities) are designated for students who are at least at their second year of study of the Bachelor’s study programme and for the students of the follow-up Master’s study programme.
The number of the placements available is limited every year, depending on the contracts concluded and on the mobility plan approved by the National Agency for European Education Programmes. There is a selection process organized every year in order to place the applying students to the partner universities and colleges.
Only a student who meets the basic conditions (i.e. being a student of the 2nd year at least and submitting the request on time) will be integrated in the selection process. The properties of the application that especially will be evaluated are the following:
- Meeting all the formal requirements of the application (providing all the necessary and compulsory data correctly)
- The study results of the applicant
- Applicant's language skills
- The quality of the motivation letter (the student has to give reasons for the particular university and study plan choice, the possible application of the knowledge and skills acquired etc.)
The rules of the selection process are defined by the Erasmus Selection Process Code / set of Rules – LLP Erasmus.
The students and employees of VSEM participate in exchange programmes, conferences, seminars and other events within the international cooperation development. In the same time, students, academic and other staff reciprocally come to VSEM from other countries’ universities.
