Electronic Enrolment

The electronic enrolment is an administrative transaction effectuated by means of SIS VŠEM/Student’s Schedule/Create Electronic Enrolment/Schedule and it serves as a confirmation that the student’s studies have officially started in the given academic year.
The conditions and instructions for the electronic enrolment or the schedule are defined by the internal rules of VSEM.

A student is allowed to take the examinations and credits and to submit seminar papers only in case he/she has previously enrolled the given subject in the electronic system for the given academic year and for the appropriate study programme.

1st Year Electronic Enrolment (Applicants)

The electronic enrolment is compulsory for fulfilment of all the admission conditions.

  • The dates of the electronic enrolment (deadlines for submitting the necessary materials) depend on the beginning of the student’s studies (until 01/09 for those who start in October, until 01/01 for those who start in January and 01/04 for those starting in April).
  • All the necessary instructions concerning the electronic enrolment will be given to the student in the notification of the admission proceedings result (i.e. information about the documents to be supplied, important dates etc.).
  • The schedule is fixed for the first year of studies and a student has to confirm the appropriate study modules for the given academic year depending on the starting date.
  • In case the electronic enrolment is not done, the student is not admitted and the place is then offered to another candidate who was not admitted for capacity reasons.

Electronic Enrolment in Any Other Year/Trimester (Students)

The electronic enrolment (EE) is and administrative task compulsory for all the students of VSEM who have not fulfilled all the requirements for their studies to be concluded by the date of the electronic enrolment (01/06 – 01/07), i.e. those who still have not passed all the examinations, fulfilled the requirements for credits or submitted their seminar papers.

  • The electronic enrolment enables to plan and to confirm the student’s schedule for the given academic year. It is also the moment when a student sets the date of the administrative enrolment (AE) at the Study Department.
  • In case the electronic enrolment is not done, it is considered that the student abandoned his/her with no right for compensation
  • The schedule for the first year of study is fixed (marked “Uzamčeno“ / “Locked”). Students can only choose the modules in the following years.
  • Any changes in the schedule for the given academic year can only be made during the electronic enrolment period (EE). In that case, it is at first necessary to cancel the previous setting (set “Zvolte” / “Choose” in all the trimesters and then “Uložit” / “Save”)
  • Individual study planning requires the student’s own active participation. If a student decides to create his/her own schedule and then is not active enough, it is possible that he/she will be obliged to  conform himself to some administrative measures in future.
  • Within the electronic enrolment, a student has to fill all the three trimesters (September / January / April) of the relevant academic year. In case he/she is not going to attend the classes directly, the student will state “No direct instruction 1/2/3/4/5 according to the order of th etrimesters.
  • The content of the final study  module (Bachelor / Diploma Thesis, Examination Preparation Seminar) is subjected to the electronic enrolment as well. It is possible for a student to choose a date during the academic year that is suitable for him/her (MBA, Bc.(K1)). Or it is a part of the first trimester of the academic year and  the date will be further specified after th eelectronic enrolment (Bc.(P1), Ing.).
  • It is possible that some modules within one term have the same name and annotation and only differ in dates. These modules are distinguished by the A / B note and their content is identical.

Electronic Enrolment (Bc.)

The electronic enrolment in the Bachelor’s study programmes takes place between the 1st June and the 1st July, depending on the year of study (3rd year: 01/06 – 01/07, 2nd year: 02/06 – 01/07, 3rd year: 03/06 – 01/07).

  • In their 2nd and 3rd year of study, the students create their own schedule, having the possibility to define the structure and the timetable according to their own preferences
  • When creating the schedule, the logical succession of the study modules has to be respected
  • The Major Specialization Module (MSM) can be modified during the studies (by means of SIS VSEM/Study form/Request (Course and Administration of studies)/Tuition/Examination). But any modification of MSM must be done before the date of the electronic inscription for the given academic year. Whether a MSM will be opened or not depends on the minimal number of students enrolled.
  • The full-time students (P1 / P2) have to confirm their schedule which is fixed for the given academic year.

Electronic Enrolment (Ing.)

The electronic enrolment in the Master’s study programmes (Ing.) takes place in the standard enrolment period (01/06 – 01/07) and a student has to confirm his/ her schedule which is fixed for the given academic year, as the expertise and content of the study modules does not allow students to compose their schedules individually. academic year.

Elelctronic Enrolment (MBA)

The electronic enrolment in the MBA study programme takes place between the 1st June and the 1st July, the date of beginning depending on the year of study (2nd year 01/06 – 01/07, 1st year 02/06 – 01/07).

  • In their 2nd year of study, the students create their own schedule, having the possibility to set the structure and the timetable according to their own preferences.

Electronic Enrolment and ISP

The composition of an Individual Study Plan (ISP) for th egiven academic year is subject to the approval of the Study Department. The request has to be sent through SIS VSEM/Study Form/Request/Question (Course and Administration of Studies).

A student sets the date of the administrative enrolment (01/09 - 10/09) by means of the electronic enrolment (through SIS VSEM/Schedule of the Student). To ask for an ISP, the student enters "ISP 1/2/3/4/5/6", depending on the trimester. In case he/she is not going to attend any classes, the student enters "Bez přímé výuky 1/2/3/4/5/6" (meaning "no direct instruction"). The Study Department will then inform the ISP holder about the his/her study duties and important deadlines.
