Administrative Enrolment

Administrative enrolment (AE) is an administrative operation carried out by a candidate/student whose presence confirms his/her interest in starting his/her studies, and who receives documents for a given academic year or for a given tuition period.

Administrative Enrolment in the 1st Year (Applicants)

Administrative enrolment in the 1st year is compulsory for all candidates who have met the requirements of the admission proceedings (notification of meeting the requirements, study agreement, payment of the tuition fees, electronic enrolment in the 1st year).

The dates of the administrative enrolment in the 1st year are determined by the date on which a candidate starts his/her studies, and are available to him/her after a deadline of the Electronic Enrolment (from 01/09. – October, from 01/01 – January, from 01/04 – April).

Administrative enrolment in the 1st year entails registration and issue of a student’s documents, and also the handover of learning and study materials for a given tuition period.

Introduction to the studies as part of AE familiarises new students with the requirements and administrative requisites of the studies at VŠEM (tuition and examination workshops, tuition timetable, ways and requirements of the study control, study information system, guide to the study administration, internal regulations.

Failure to carry out the administrative enrolment is considered a candidate’s disinterest in the studies, and his/her place is offered to a candidate rejected for capacity reasons.

Extraordinary Date of the Administartive Enrolment

An extraordinary date of AE (EDAE) is available for a sum of CZK 1,000, which a student has to carry out by 14 (Bc.) or 21 (Ing./MBA) days since the administrative enrolment of a given study group, with the application for EDAE approved by the Rector through SIS VŠEM/Study form/Extraordinary date (it is possible to take part in EDAE during the office hours of the Study Department only – Mon to Fri, 1 to 4 pm).

Administrative Enrolmet in Any Other Year of Studies (Students)

Administrative enrolment applies to all the students of VŠEM whose studies are not concluded during the period of the administrative enrolment (01/09 – 10/ 09) (individual exams, credits and seminar papers assessed).

The date of the Administrative Enrolment (specific day and time) is chosen by a student in the process of the Electronic Enrolment (01/06 – 01/07) according to the office hours of the Study Department

On administrative enrolment, a student is obliged to produce proof of identity through the VŠEM student’s card (that is, the ISIC card issued by VŠEM).

Administrative enrolment entails checking of the exams passed until AE takes place (certificate of the exams passed as appearing in the E-credit book), certificate of meeting the requirements for the advance to the next year of the studies (P1/P2), certificate of a student’s statement for a given academic year, receiving of learning and study texts (according to the annotation of study subjects/modules).

A student does not have to ask for the change of the date of the administrative enrolment throughout the given span of AE (1. 9. – 10. 9.), as he/she can only take part in the Extraordinary Date of the Administrative Enrolment (EDAE) since 11/09

Failure to carry out the administrative enrolment in the given period is considered as a student’s leaving his/her studies without compensation (notification of leaving the studies).

Extraordinary Date of the Administrative Enrolment

An extraordinary date of AE (11. 9. – 1. 10.) is available for a sum of CZK 1,000, with a student’s application approved by the Rector through SIS VŠEM/Study form (it is possible to take part in EDAE during the office hours of the Study Department only – Mon to Fri, 1 to 4 pm).

AE without Personal Presence

Students who have finished direct tuition (without tuition workshops) in a current academic year, and whose studies are not concluded, can ask, through SIS VŠEM/Study form, for the administrative enrolment without personal presence to be carried out.

The requirement for doing so is the signature and sending of Student’s statement (PDF format) and Overview of exams passed (E-credit book) to the VŠEM Study Department by 10. 9. Failure to meet the deadline is considered leaving the studies.

Student's Power of Attorney

A student can, on the basis of an officially certified letter of attorney, confer authority on another person to carry out the administrative enrolment on his/her behalf in the period of AE (01/09 – 10/09) – see Student’s power of attorney (PDF format).

The requirement for doing so is by proving the agent’s identity through the VŠEM student’s card (principal) and by producing the agent’s proof of identity (identity card, passport, driving licence).
